A new women’s fantasy sports mobile app, She Plays, has hit the Apple App & Google Play stores. The She Plays app is an application for fantasy sports for women’s leagues. netGALAXY Studios, a Stingray Branding company, built the app that features women’s basketball, soccer, and hockey athletes. The app allows users to create fantasy leagues with real athletes and compete with friends, family, co-workers, or in public leagues.
How the App Works
Once the app is downloaded users can join or create a league. You can invite friends, family, and co-workers to compete with you. Users can also join leagues created by a friend or can join a public league, go here. When creating a league, you can start your season by drafting from a roster of real players to your team. Have a live draft night with your friends or set it to auto-pick players for you. While the season goes on you can edit your lineup and make trades with other fantasy players in your league, add and drop players. Prepare your team for a new head-to-head matchup against someone in your league every weekend. Of course, enjoy the games throughout the season and watch your players in action.
Before the Draft
Look through all the players in the league on the player’s tab. As you go through you can favorite the ones you want to draft. Click the players to get more information, sort, and search through various stats. You can familiarize yourself with players you love and players you might not know quite well. 10 minutes before the draft begins, a button will appear that says “Join Draft Lobby” that you can click on to enter.
Inside the Draft
Once the draft has started it will go through each player in the league until everyone has picked an athlete in the first round. In the next round, the last player will get to pick first and it will go backward through players until it gets back to the first player from round 1, and so on. There are a total of 9 rounds to select players. The app will send a notification to your phone when it is your turn to pick. While you are going through the rounds you can click on the button with three lines in the bottom right-hand corner to see what positions have been filled and which are still empty. If you are not able to draft live you also have the option to auto-draft. Auto-draft will select the best-ranked athletes for you and fill your roster with the required positions. Your bench will be the next best player regardless of position.
The App Features
The app is easy to use and navigate. Once you create an account and get logged in you have the option to join or create a league. You can also create a mock draft that will allow you to learn how the draft works and practice for the upcoming season. Joining a league gives you the options available for leagues that are looking for players. Once you join a league the app will give you a countdown to when the live draft starts. If you decide to create a league you will get the option to select season type, league type, draft type, draft date, and draft time. From there you can invite anyone you want to join your league.
